is an
Editor.
“The best edits I've made started as conversations. I like work that feels polished but never sealed off. Scripted, documentary or somewhere in between.”
“I do my best work close to the people making it — directors, producers, creatives of all kinds.”
I grew up in Fort Thomas, Kentucky making ski movies with my friends. I studied film and production in Colorado, spent some time in Los Angeles, and now live and work in Seattle with my wife and two kids.

I spent 6 years building a boutique production company.
We created TV spots for national brands, played with light and color in our studio space, learned how to use a Phantom camera, and won awards for our hard work.
I went back to freelancing…
after the 7 year itch. I worked across a lot of different departments, trying to find my footing. Director, Director of Photography, 1st AC, Editor and Colorist were all titles that I held. So much of my current work is informed by the time I spent in different departments of the industry.

I found my true passion.
Editing was always my strongest skill and a blend of everything I am good at: storytelling, creative collaboration, problem solving and technical thinking. It was the first thing I fell in love with as a filmmaker.
